Do You Need A Website To Be A Successful Affiliate Marketer?
Do You Need A Website To Be A Successful Affiliate Marketer?
No. Quite simply you do not need a website to be a successful internet marketer. I know people who rake in up to $30,000/month and they don't use a website!
Don't get me wrong, having a website is a great way to promote your business/affiliate products but don't get roped into the belief that you need a website to succeed in the online world.
Alternatives include using Google Adwords to promote your affiliate products. You simply sign up for a free account, write a small ad, choose your keywords and that's it. When people see your ad on Google's search pages they will click on it, read about your affiliate product, hopefully buy it and leave you with a nice commission! Simple! All without a website.
Another option is to place ads in newsletters, ezines, other people's sites etc for a small fee. You must find a targeted newsletters/ezines/websites to place your ads for the best results. This can be a really cheap way to advertise your affiliate products and can result in a nice commission check.
If you send a lot of emails then you can include a signature related to some kind of affiliate product in your niche. Your email recipients will see this, follow your link and then hopefully buy/sign up for your product. This can be a great way to make sales/get leads if you send a lot of emails to clients, customers etc.
A similar technique is to place a comment in a related forum. Do a Google search on "your niche" AND "forum" to find related forums. Find a topic which would be appropriate to your product and leave a comment along with your signature. In your signature you would have a small comment or text link related to your product, which you can direct visitors to. This can be a great way to pick up highly targeted leads.
With all that being said, a website is still a great way to deliver the info and products that your visitors want. A website makes you seem more professional, more of an authority on your subject. However, they can be hard to set up, design and maintain, especially if you're new to the internet and find all the hard geeky tech stuff very confusing (like me!).
How about getting a website that is already designed, fully functional, already hosted on a server, contains all your personal Clickbank, eBay and Adsense ID's so you can get all the commissions when you make sales and clicks.
This is truly a plug in and play site where all you have to do is promote it (using the methods described above) and you cannot fail to make money! It really is that easy. This site is perfect for beginners and is one I highly recommend. To check it out Click Here.

Are you Generating Traffic the Correct Way?
If you've ever visited forums where newbie marketers post, it won't take you long to realise that the most frequently asked question is: "Whats the best way to drive traffic to my website?" It's an obvious question, because without traffic, there is no point of having a website. So what really is the best way to get traffic?
The majority of newbie marketers make the mistake in focusing all their efforts on one form of traffic generation. I'm not saying that you should learn all the methods at once, but all too often you see people who aren't even willing to use more than one method of traffic generation. I'm sure you've run into the guy who is in love with Adwords or the guy who praises Search Engine Optimisation, right?
The very best way to drive targeted traffic to your site is with a multi-pronged attack. You want to get traffic from all over the place. This is because each method has it's pros and cons. I'm going to run through the main forms of traffic generation I use myself and the pros/cons for each.
Pay Per Click Search Engines
A lot of buzz has been generated about PPC recently and for good reason. Never before has there been a way that you can have visitors flocking to your site within a couple of hours. The biggest advantage to this is that it allows you to optimise your sites conversion rate. Theres no huge waiting period, you simply setup Adwords or Yahoo and you can instantly see how the changes you make affect sales or whatever your call to action is. On the down side, PPC can be very expensive and therefore not worth it, for some markets. If you have a site about Real Estate, then you are going to be struggling to find targeted keywords for peanuts. However, there are still plenty of cheap keywords available, trust me ;)
Search Engine Optimisation
This tactic has been around for quite some time. While it's a little more complicated than stuffing your meta tags full of keywords, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is still worth your time and effort. If you optimise for the right keywords, then you have the potential to drive tens of thousands of visitors to your site. If you've learnt how to optimise your site correctly using PPC, then optimising your site for the search engines is going to make you a heck of a lot of money. However, it's not that easy. For starters, the popular keyword phrases have plenty of competition, sometimes more than a billion sites. To appear first for huge keywords is probably a bit much for a first attempt, so middle of the road keywords are probably more for you. The downside is that even for these keywords, it can take 6 months of continual work before you see any results. However, once your hard work pays off, if you've done it correctly, it will be worth it.
Article Marketing
This is a method I don't think enough marketers use to it's full potential. It's a simple method really. You create articles that are packed with useful information and then you post them on article directories. This helps you out in several ways. Firstly, if you get enough articles out on the web, more people are going to read them and if they find them useful, then they are likely to visit the link you are allowed to place at the bottom of the article. This can also be beneficial for SEO as those links help your rankings. The downside to article marketing is that it can be quite time consuming, but if you're new and low on funds, get stuck in, because it's free. Although, if you have some extra cash, you can easily get articles outsourced very cheaply.
Forums
Here is another overlooked method of traffic generation. Whatever your niche is, I will guarantee there is a forum for it. If you don't know any, just do a google search for "your niche + forum". Once you arrive in the forum, make sure you don't simply make posts like "Hey I have this fantastic website you should check out..". Doing that is a sure way of getting yourself booted from the forum, or not taken seriously. The best way is to show people, through your posts, that you know what you are talking about. Establish yourself as an authority in your area.
Viral Marketing
This isn't exactly a newbie strategy, but viral marketing is what makes the big bucks. Hotmail coined the term for it when they began back all those years ago. They just added a little note to the bottom of their emails that said "Get your free email account here..". As more and more people sent their emails, word about Hotmail spread like a virus. Popular methods for generating viral campaigns are to either distribute free ebooks or software. The key is they must be useful, no one is going to pass along useless crap. This can be hard to pull off, but be creative and you will come up with something, viral marketing can work in any market.

How to make your Ads Irresistible.
By Raamakant S.
Advertising plays a great role in boosting a business up to the sky.
They are the medium for you to climb up without any ropes. Ads
give us a reason to buy a single product instead of another. They
are the medium by which a particular company highlights it's
products benefits in a way that sounds to be interesting.
You often see that ads maker do use of small kids, well known
personality to have a look on their ad. Or they may work on
laughter approach to get hold on viewers. It's all about our daily
life that is our offline life. But now we have to apply this principle
in our online work life and it really works.
Most of us might post our messages to classified ads sites,
newsgroups, e-mail discussion lists, message boards, or FFA sites
etc. We all do it to get ourselves noticed which really propels our
online sales. But what if all these methods don't serve their purpose?
Is it anything wrong going on which is hindering your online success?
Let's take an example of daily life. You see an ad on TV and you
will continue to see it till its end if you find it interesting or of your
use. The same goes with an online world. People will usually read
the subject line before they read your ad or message. So what
important to get your ad noticed is a strong attractive subject
line. It's not a tough part of the job to make it a revealing one.
Here are the simple but tricky tips to do so:-
1. Text Formatting:
Make a smart combination of capital letters with lower case letters.
Don't put it in an unorganized way but put in a way that is smart to
look on. For example: "Completely FREE Offer". Here the word free in
upper case surely grabs an attention. Don't use all capital letters in
your ads. Use a genuine mix of both case letters.
Using all uppercase may looks hard to read on and it also seems to be
unprofessional. You can highlight some words that you want to stress
on. You can also format some words with a different color. But don't
make your ad copy unprofessional to look on.
2. Use Attention Grabbers:
The other ways to catch hold your viewers eyes are attention grabbing
words. You can begin your subject line with words like "STOP!", "LOOK"
etc. People will surely read on thinking that it's a distinct thing and they
don't leave it unturned.
The most commonly attention grabbing word are "FREE" and "YOU".
These words really attract a heavy traffic to your site. You can also add
text symbols like *,#, etc in your subject line. For example: Join Today
For This *Incredible* Offer.
3. Ask Questions:
Just ask a simple question in your subject line. Remember this question
must be connected with their problems or desires. With this point you
can ask them a question in their words.
It means ask them in a manner that they are feeling. Ask them if they
want something or want to get rid of something. For example: You can
question like this "Want to grow your online business?" or "Are you
suffering from acne?" You have looked here that these question are
simple in their language but they are in the words of your viewers.
4. Emphasize on Facts:
Remember that human possess a brain to think. So don't try to rip them
by stating unbelievable claims. Use the right language with right figures.
For example: "Earn $12,000,000 just by filling this survey". No one will
ever click on this ad as his brain triggers that it is a wrong fact. Make
them believe that what you are telling is the thing you have already
done and have succeeded in.
5. Use Real Proofs:
This is the easiest going way to believe that you are stating a true fact.
You can include a testimonial, a comment or statistics to prove your
product. A testimonial must be one which is stating your products
benefits and proving it's uniqueness. You can also put your products
statistics showing that you have earned from it and others can also.
Well these are some points to ponder on. So just review your ad copy
and look on that you have put a right thing on it's right place.
